BELLATOR MMA™ ANNOUNCES BROADCAST DEAL IN FRANCE WITH RMC SPORT

London UK – BELLATOR MMA has today announced an exclusive broadcast deal with French broadcaster RMC Sport. The agreement will see all live BELLATOR shows broadcast on the platform.

The deal follows the organisation’s history-making BELLATOR Paris event held at Accor Arena in October 2020, after the country’s government legalized the sport of mixed marital arts, more commonly known as MMA.

The French deal builds on a host of recent broadcast partner announcements by BELLATOR, including an exclusive partnership with the BBC for live events to be shown on BBC iPlayer in the UK, Virgin Media as the promotion’s exclusive 2021 broadcast partner for Ireland and a new home on the premium network SHOWTIME in the US.

The promotion’s first event of the year, BELLATOR MMA 255: Pitbull vs. Sanchez 2, takes place this Friday (2nd April) at the Mohegan Sun, Connecticut. Three further events are scheduled to take place throughout April and May, with some of the biggest names from the world of MMA in action.

BELLATOR MMA President Scott Coker, said: “We are thrilled to announce that RMC Sport will be the home for our live events in France. The deal demonstrates our commitment to the French market, which we introduced with our groundbreaking show in Paris last October. France has a huge and passionate MMA fanbase that we will see continue to grow through 2021 and beyond.”

Meanwhile, other global broadcast deals announced by BELLATOR, include Spike and 10 play in Australia, Okko Sport in Russia, Spike in the Netherlands and Ananey Communications in Israel. In Sub-Saharan Africa, BELLATOR events will be aired on StarTimes Sports Arena and in South Africa on StarSat Sports 1 channel.
